Based at the Holden Performance Driving Centre at Norwell (10mins Nth of Dreamworld) in Queensland, Australia, the V8 Super School is on offer to anyone wanting to tackle the challenge of driving a V8 Race Car. It’s an opportunity for V8 fans to have a go themselves in a safe, enjoyable environment.

A fleet of V8 Commodores and Falcons have been built for the V8 Super School. The vehicles are presented in a selection of V8 Supercar team livery designs, including Morris’s Sirromet Wines colours, Castrol and Orrcon, plus a Marcos Ambrose ‘Signature’ Ford and a Stegbar Falcon. All vehicles are equipped with Roll Cage, Race Seats & Harness, Full Race Aero Kits, Quick-shift Gearboxes, Race Suspension and Slick Racing Tyres.

The V8 Super School has created a Level 2 program which offers a higher performance option to participants through modified vehicles. The Level 2 vehicles feature 450-horsepower V8 engines, an increase of 100-horsepower over the Level 1 Commodores and Falcons. The increased engine power in these cars follows modifications to camshafts, cylinder heads and the exhaust system. Other modifications include V8 Supercar brakes (AP on Commodore, Brembo on Falcon), coil-over adjustable shock absorbers and springs, wider 10-inch rear slick tyres (8-inch on Level 1 cars), racing spool locked differential, and a Motec dash with print out.

The V8 Super School operates daily, depending on circuit and track availability at the HPDC. While at the centre guests can also get a behind-the-scenes look at the high-octane world of V8 Supercars with packages including a visit to the Motorsport Gallery and Paul Morris Motorsports’ Sirromet Wines V8 Supercar team headquarters.
